I could still envision an eleventh hour coup de etat. After all the _resident has removed most of the patriot general officers, I can’t imagine him giving up power.
I doubt that enough of the troops would obey any such orders. And since the Army can’t be used domestically, who is going to enforce it? The FBI? Ha! They are only brave when they have 100 to one odds like any police force. The Local police? Ha! They’ll stay home and they aren’t under Federal authority. The National Guard? Double ha! Same same local police. I doubt that many would be willing to shoot their neighbors. Plus they would be ridiculously out numbered.
No, the libs need a giant internal army sworn to the President and recruited from the prisons and the ex-con population. He’s starting to do that now but there’s not enough time.
