Donald Trump Says Jeb Bush ‘Dishonorable’ For Reneging On Pledge
Breitbart ^ | May 8, 2016 | by MICHELLE MOONS

Posted on 05/08/2016 11:52:10 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Seventeen GOP presidential contenders pledged to support the eventual nominee, but now presumptive nominee Donald Trump is calling out former establishment darling Jeb Bush for not honoring that pledge.

"Jeb Bush signed a pledge and basically it says I’m gonna support the person who wins the Republican primaries right? And it said that very strongly and he signed the pledge and now he says he’s not going to honor the pledge. That’s very dishonorable. I think he should honor it. Even if he doesn’t love me. And it’s hard for him to like me. But remember this, look, I hit him hard. Do we agree? Alright. Who cares? I mean I hit a lot of people hard and they’re like, my friends now. And they hit me hard."

Bush posted to Facebook on Friday a message that included the statement, “In November, I will not vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, but I will support principled conservatives at the state and federal levels, just as I have done my entire life.”

At the first Fox News Republican presidential debate last August, each of ten candidates were asked if they were not willing to commit to supporting the eventual Republican nominee. Trump was the only one to say he was not yet ready to make that commitment.

Trump did take the pledge last September.

The RNC pledge that each candidate is said to have committed to reads, “I [name] affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is. I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.”

The RINO pukes who all but made Trump sign a pledge in blood that he would support whoever became the Republican nominee are the same RINO pukes who are now threatening to withhold support for Trump now that HE is the presumptive Republican nominee.

The "gravy train" can't end for these pukes soon enough!!!

Re:I loved GW, but he goes 8 yrs without saying peep against Obama and then comes out trashing Trump. Good riddance GW and family.

I loved GW too and can understand your disappointment.

They must have kept him too long in the closed casket during his initiation into Skull and Bones. The brain damage due to oxygen privation must be catching up to him.

You’re right in what you’re saying. I hope we’ll all be able to endure the nonstop s**t storm coming our way. I’m sure Donald Trump can handle his own business.

Trump is right. They demanded Trump make a pledge of loyalty. I guess the street doesn’t run both ways with the GOP.

That's what it looks like to me too...

Ask Terri Schiavo how dishonorable Jeb Bush is. Oh, I’m sorry, you can’t.

The lie is the weapon most often used by the criminal. “Read my lips…”

The POS Jeb is worse than “dishonorable”.

Financial Sector Gives Hillary Clinton a Boost
Some Wall Street donations shift from GOP candidates who have exited the race

Hillary Clinton is consolidating her support among Wall Street donors and other businesses ahead of a general-election battle with Donald Trump, winning more campaign contributions from financial-services executives in the most recent fundraising period than all other candidates combined.

The Democratic front-runner has raised $4.2 million in total from Wall Street, $344,000 of which was contributed in March alone. According to a Wall Street Journal analysis of fundraising data provided by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, the former secretary of state received 53% of the donations from Wall Street in March, up from 32% last year and 33% in January through February, as the nominating contests began.

The analysis of campaign-finance reports shows that some Wall Street donors have shifted their financial support from Republican candidates who dropped out of the race, such as former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, to Mrs. Clinton in recent months.

Clinton targeting former Jeb Bush donors on Wall Street
By Eric DuVall | May 6, 2016 at 2:58 PM

NEW YORK, May 6 (UPI) — Top fundraisers for Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton have begun targeting one-time donors to former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush, in a bid to woo those who are opposed to GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump.

Politico reported Thursday the race to win over some of Wall Street’s top big money donors has taken an unsocial turn since Trump all but locked up the nomination this week. Many of Bush’s former donors have not lined up behind Trump and Clinton’s team is courting several high-profile individuals, including Bush’s former finance chairman, Woody Johnson, who owns the NFL’s New York Jets.

Imagine if this had gone to a brokered GOP convention and Jeb became the nominee. Even though virtually nobody voted for him, Jeb would loudly demand loyalty and party unity from everyone, including Trump, and would go about slandering anyone who didn’t play along. Now that the shoe’s on the other foot, there’s no talk of loyalty or party unity from the likes of the Bushes, Romney, or Ryan. How typical.

He’s right, they took a pledge and are now not owning up to it. Says a lot about their character.
