Seventeen GOP presidential contenders pledged to support the eventual nominee, but now presumptive nominee Donald Trump is calling out former establishment darling Jeb Bush for not honoring that pledge.
"Jeb Bush signed a pledge and basically it says Im gonna support the person who wins the Republican primaries right? And it said that very strongly and he signed the pledge and now he says hes not going to honor the pledge. Thats very dishonorable. I think he should honor it. Even if he doesnt love me. And its hard for him to like me. But remember this, look, I hit him hard. Do we agree? Alright. Who cares? I mean I hit a lot of people hard and theyre like, my friends now. And they hit me hard."
Bush posted to Facebook on Friday a message that included the statement, In November, I will not vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, but I will support principled conservatives at the state and federal levels, just as I have done my entire life.
At the first Fox News Republican presidential debate last August, each of ten candidates were asked if they were not willing to commit to supporting the eventual Republican nominee. Trump was the only one to say he was not yet ready to make that commitment.
Trump did take the pledge last September.
The RNC pledge that each candidate is said to have committed to reads, I [name] affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is. I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.

Jeb just hasn’t gotten around to it yet. He is low-energy.
To say one thing, and then do another, is hypocrisy. Of course, here Jeb put it in writing.
Hypocrisy is the contrivance of a false appearance of virtue or goodness, while concealing real character or inclinations.
This is pretty much what we’ve come to expect from Jeb & Co., so it’s not really surprising, but it is dishonorable, at least for those of us (non-politicians) who mean what we say.
Go Trump. Rock their world.
No matter how much he says it, "conservative" doesn't apply to him and his friends.
“But at the same time, Trump shouldnt say anything about Jeb either publicly.”
Jeb spoke first. That demands a reply.
"....look at that shiny thing"
Headline could have stopped right there, and still have been ever bit as accurate. ;)
It’s a mistake to think the primary season is over. The anti-Trump GOP forces continue their campaign to install the Butcher of Benghazi in the White House.
“ever” = every
Since 1989 the party has been adrift as the Uniparty RINOS have steered it straight into the rocks of political peril.
I said to Jeb, "Isn't it convenient that Barry Seal was assassinated when he was? And now suddenly all the information and documents he had are gone missing?"
Jeb had a rather broad smile on his face, and he concurred that it was convenient. He added a little snicker - as he often had a tendency of doing. Also little beads of sweat formed on his forehead, as when he gets nervous. It's something you can notice when he's on television. He still has a tendency to have little beads of sweat around his forehead, when he is either lying about something, or he's nervous about what someone is saying."
My conversations with Jeb at this meeting were overheard by the two Secret Service agents who were always assigned to Jeb when he was in his office at 1390 Brickell Avenue in Miami.

DONALD J. TRUMP RESPONSE TO LINDSEY GRAHAM
“I fully understand why Lindsey Graham cannot support me. If I got beaten as badly as I beat him, and all the other candidates he endorsed, I would not be able to give my support either. Every time I see Lindsey Graham spew hate during interviews I ask why the media never questions how I single-handedly destroyed his hapless run for President.
As a candidate who did not receive 1% in his own state - compared to my victory at nearly 40% with many others in the race - he has zero credibility. He was a poor representative and an embarrassment to the great people of South Carolina. Judging by the incompetent way he ran his campaign, it is easy to see why his military strategies have failed so badly -— we cant even beat ISIS!
While I will unify the party, Lindsey Graham has shown himself to be beyond rehabilitation, and like the voters who rejected him, so will I!”

Ryan will be Trump’s latest loser to feel the new reality!
Maybe Jeb could be President on ‘Fantasy Island’.
Same here.
I can certainly believe that.
Yes, Jeb is dishonorable. He’ll live his life knowing that other people know he’s a four flusher, he may not care but he’ll always know it deep down.
Jeb Bush doesn’t need a gun for protection. He has private security
