Who believed in Bush family honor since Bush I rolled on his "No new taxes" pledge?

Yep, like I always said: The last REAL Republican POTUS left office in 1989.

“Bush I rolled on his “No new taxes” pledge? “
I was working 2nd shift then, and saw the news conference life. Yeah, Bush did renege on his promise. But the dems had committed to spend every new tax dollar raised to reduce the “daffy sit.” Was it old fat Tip bobbing his head up and down in agreement in the background? Anyway, as I recall, the dems spent $1.84 of every one new tax dollar. That’s DC math!!

Imagine if this had gone to a brokered GOP convention and Jeb became the nominee. Even though virtually nobody voted for him, Jeb would loudly demand loyalty and party unity from everyone, including Trump, and would go about slandering anyone who didn’t play along. Now that the shoe’s on the other foot, there’s no talk of loyalty or party unity from the likes of the Bushes, Romney, or Ryan. How typical.
