The White House refused Tuesday to criticize black female West Point cadets who posed for a photo giving a black-pride gesture, saying only that President Obama is proud of the class of 2016.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest acknowledged the photo has generated some discussions about race relations in our country.
But the real focus should be on the tremendous accomplishments of these cadets, Mr. Earnest said. Im not going to try to divine the message that those cadets were attempting to send.

The title of the article seems to be misleading.
And people wonder if the military would turn against American citizens if ordered to do so ..... I have no doubt that those belonging to the “Obama version” ... or should I say ‘perversion’ of the military, would.
Backed up by illegal alien hordes.
I guess it is time the KKK moves into westpoint.
“........a photo giving a black-pride gesture...”
“Black- pride” my a$$. Perhaps it’s because it changed while I wasn’t paying attention to much of this race crap, but that salute has always been for Black Power, not pride.
I understand the sentiment, but you are simply wildly incorrect. It incorporates tons of words and syntax and usage that came from their own sources. This is not a question among any serious language scholars.
I understand the reasons for disliking it, avoiding it, and judging those who use it. But it’s a true dialect as much as Southern English, Boston, Australian, British, Cajun, Apallachian, etc.
Dey obummer’s N***as!
If this was white males they would have be already expelled.
This is a crisis mode because it would been an entire protected class which is currently enrolled would be out.
Exactly, and that’s why I entered the keyword “blackpower.”
OK, you win; what you are considering “dialects” are simply accents to me.
When someone can’t piece to consonants together (for example, “project” becomes “projec”), it is simply poor English.
This is the coded signal from the president to the West Point commander and his incident inquiry board that there is to be no meaningful investigation or punishment of these Black Power radical women cadets....or any at all....or else!

I agree.
It is a dialect of laziness and cultural failure.
Indeed, it is a marker of a culture that is an utter and complete failure at every single thing except putting a ball in a hoop and explosive violence.
We are the only enemy the US military will ever be allowed to defeat, decisively. They will hold nothing back, there will be no weapon or tactic considered too extreme.
Who isn’t thse days?
I’m actually very curious as to how this will play out. I assume that these cadets are still in their leadership positions...while the ‘investigation’ continues. But, I wonder what the end game is. Will they be punished as cadets - time is running out for that. Will they be punished as officers - not usually.
The normal course of action would be to punish them as cadets, and delay graduation - make them what is called a ‘December Grad’.
I am a graduate of West Point, and one night close to graduation, I had to do a bed check. A guy named Jeff was not there...not signed out on leave...not accounted for. Well, I had to make a report that night - to somebody in a leadership position just like a few of these cadets. And, I reluctantly reported that Jeff was not accounted for. Turns out he had taken leave but forgotten to sign out. That small infraction earned him status as a December Grad...and he has never spoken a word to me since.
Anyway, I just wanted to relate that story to show how easily one can end up delaying graduation, with a last minute screw up. Now these women have not just violated cadet code, they’ve also violated UCMJ. There is no question they should be punished. But, I have a feeling that punishing all of them will leave graduation day looking too white and too male - so I’d guess that those cadets in leadership positions might take the hit, and the others get off with a slap on the wrist.
I’d like to see them interviewed and asked what that fist is supposed to communicate.
But I saw on the news last night where all cadets in some ceremonial situation raise their fists, so this confuses me.
They are the LAST group of people (SIC)who should be allowed to be in our military! THEY ARE A COMPLETE DISGRACE !
Hate speech
