I knew a fellow in the 80s who was a park historian at a Civil War battlefield. He had been employed by NPS for several years when I met him. We were trying to find a time to get together and he said he had to instead go to weapons training as NPS was increasing the required number of deputized field employees as crime was getting so bad in the parks.

He had no LE background - history major. Maybe this “spokesman” wants a twofer - both legal and illegal aliens want to know who the poleece are so they can plan their crimes better.

If they feel threatened, there may be a good reason. They know they on on US soil illegally. We should take the next step in discomfort and detain them. Return them to their country of origin. If they have minor children, send the who family back. The children can make application to claim US citizenship at age 18 if they wish to return. That fixes the "breaking up families" complain. Keep them together...off US soil.
