Al-Qaeda in New 'Inspire' Issue: Clock Boy 'Even Inspired Us in a Way'

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula's new issue of Inspire magazine includes a shout out to the "Clock Boy" while slamming President Obama's programs to counter violent extremism.

Ahmed Mohamed, 14, was arrested at his Texas high school in 2015 for bringing a homemade clock to school encased in what resembled a small briefcase. The device was seized by his English teacher and the cops were called. He was not charged with any crime.

"Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It's what makes America great," Obama tweeted in support of boy. A month later, Ahmed met Obama during White House Astronomy Night event on the South Lawn of the White House.

The new al-Qaeda issue featured a picture of the two meeting as well as the clock bomb, with the notation: "Obama, 'because of his sensitivity towards Muslim discrimination,' sees an opp to further his PR by acknowledging a brilliant 14 yr old Muslim boy (who in fact even inspired us in a way)."

The Inspire issue features step-by-step photos of how to build a parcel bomb, a magnetic car bomb, and a door-trap bomb.

Ahmed Mohamed's family moved to Qatar and sued the City of Irving and the Irving Independent School District for $15 million.

The "notes" page, which is featured in each issue of al-Qaeda's magazine and sometimes contains attack clues, has a photo of San Bernardino terrorist Syed Rizwan Farook next to a photo of a pipe bomb, next to a sticky listing the dates of Memorial Day and Independence Day. "Confirmed -- May 30, July 4" it says followed by two bullet points scratched out with a black pen and the footnote "please burn after reading."

It also contains what could be an Election Day reference: "Hidden bomb, car bomb, pressure cooker, assassinations," reads a checklist, followed by "make your vote count."

Also shown is a postcard to CIA Director John Brennan, noting with a smiley face: "For every Goliath there is a David - LOLLLLLL."

One noted titled "The Mulla in Americastan" states, "It seems someone is tirelessly doing his 'best' to study Islam but all for the wrong resons [sp]. in a letest [sp] move to pump up his CVE campaign, (the mulla of Americastan) obama went to Baltimore to teach muslims how to be 'true Muslims' - the 'Wala wal Bara', Obama's Version."

"...The same US that has been busy 'teaching' Muslims on how to behave Islamically is at the same time busy promoting Islamophobes - us recently honors the Murtad [apostate] Ayaan Hirsi."

The page also quotes Wikileaks' Julian Assange: "Capable, generous men do not create victims, they nurture victims."

The thing that worries me, they could cause a panic anytime, literally a terroristic act, simply by screaming allahu snackbar in a crowded place. People could die. And they would NEVER do anything to the perp. Religious freedom, you know.

1. No one thought this was a bomb. If they did, they would have evacuated.
2. He didn’t build anything. He nailed the guts of a radio shack alarm clock to a pelican-style case.
3. He built a perfect analogue for a bomb.
4. His father helped him build it, while he programmed local media phone numbers into his phone.

All stuff that I’m sure the well-read and observant FReeper has pointed out.

But to Al Quaida, this guy is Einstein. Remember, according to Islam “outer space” begins at 6 inches off the ground.
