Marco Rubio fired off an extended series of tweets late Monday night, alternating between sharp jabs and light jokes, aimed at a pair of Washington Post reports about his plans for his political future and his alleged "hate" for the Senate, a word the Florida senator disputes.
Criticizing the use of anonymous sources, Rubio, who has 1.36 million followers, took the opportunity to make an enigmatic joke about his political future, winking at his former rival Donald Trump. "As for future in politics, well it's nearly impossible for someone not in office to ever become a successful candidate for President. Right?," he wrote, a possible nod to Trump -- the presumptive Republican presidential nominee -- who has never held elected public office.

The ineligible Amnesty Boy has no political future.
one minute a jr. senator is poised to be given the reins of the entire country, the next, he is out looking for a job. I’m sure Trump Org. will be happy to look over his resume and find a place for him possibly in the mail room. It’s kinda sad, poor Rubio. From rising star, to crashing meteor.
I don’t dislike Marco Rubio. This sounds like his very alert sense of humor and irony is back. Add to that he’s very knowledgeable about foreign affairs. His black hole of a blind spot concerning the invasion of the US?.....I wonder if part of that is his cultural background, and his desire to keep established invaders in the US being exploited.
Little Marco looking for the spotlight again.
And exactly why the founders established the Natural Born Citizen requirement.
I agree. Now that we've been made aware of how rigged the selection process for candidates is, it's no wonder the (not so anymore) Invisible Hand prefers candidates that haven't grown up fully immersed in US culture. Obama has NO CLUE about the US that Trump strives to restore. Rubio has that blind spot on illegals. Cruz has a just plain weird view of conservative values. Nicki Haley and Bobby Jinhal haven't lived enough of mainstream US culture to understand that the Confederate flag is not a symbol of racism. These people, put in place, are just so easy to be led to sell us out.
Trump's probably the last chance to turn things around. It doesn't take that long for cultural memories to fade away.
I don’t dislike him either, but I think he’s underweight on experience and knowledge. He’s as good as most state senators would be who won a US Senate bid, but his future lies on K Street, IMHO.
Trump could appoint him or Cruz to be ambassador to Cuba. Then Rush could get a fresh supply of Cuban cigars.
