He’s obviously trying to actually win, unlike McCain and Romney who deliberately went out of their way to lose.

It’s about time someone speaks out against “sanctuary cities.” Aren’t they defying federal law, which I guess is OK, unless it involves not recognizing homosexual marriage or pervert bathrooms. If you do either, the full weight of the US DoJ will come down on you like a ton of bricks.

This election is all about the citizens finally turning their backs on politicians, and seeking anyone who will actually try to fix the country's many, and rapidly worsening, problems. I supported Cruz most of the way, mostly because I believed (and still do) that he was the most constitutionally-knowledgeable candidate and that he understood the need to restore constitutional principles. As time wore on though, I began to get a gut feeling that he might actually be more talk than action, especially as I watched his campaign degenerate into clear self-promotion above all else.

I have no such qualms about Trump. I am confident that he will actually DO something about the problems (as do a great many others, which is the primary reason he is so popular). We've reached a point where things have gotten so bad the people have tuned out the talkers and theoreticians, and are looking for someone they trust to finally take action and to FIGHT BACK. The GOPe decision to once again do nothing to oppose Obama's agenda, even after being handed both houses of Congress was the last straw that drove so many to Trump. I'm very optimistic and confident that he won't squander the good faith of the people as did the crass politicians of the GOPe.

“...Aren’t they defying federal law, “

Totally. In fact, it’s called a sanctuary city because they’re enabling sanctuary from federal immigration law!
