Key Haven was scientifically chosen by Monroe County Mosquito control after extensive research to release male mosquitos that are known to kill off the species that carry the Zika virus.The area was specifically chosen since it best reflects areas know to hold Zika carrying mosquitos.The virus is extremely difficult to diagnose.
However, an overwhelming majority of the people of Key Haven have decided that they don't want to be "Guinea pigs" and don't want the mosquitoes that will kill the females carrying the virus to be released in their little community. In other words the ignorant people of Key Haven claim they know more than current science about the Zika virus and will not be used as "supposed" guinea pigs.
So it might be pertinent to address all questions to these rocket scientists who live in Key Haven for any answers about Zika since they obviously know more than current science.
