Kids are SO fast & can get away from you before you can
imagine it. - Our son once got away from me & ran under
the hippo “fence of sorts” (it was many years ago at the
Memphis, TN zoo). It wasn’t a fence, just a metal bar that
a small child could duck under easily & fall into the
hippopotamus pool. - Surely they’ve improved the facility
since then (46 yrs. ago).
Let me be very, very clear with you: You ALWAYS WATCH YOUR KIDS anywhere, anytime and NEVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF OF THEM IN PUBLIC.
I’m an old style parent (now 70)and believe me, me, or my wife NEVER took our eyes off our child in public! The other thing that is missing in today’s society is teaching your children that bad behaviour results in bad spankings (pain). Today, you simply reason with them or simply ignore them because taking measures to measure out real punishment is either looked down on or simply something you don’t want to do that will make the little brat “hate you!”
It is EXTREMELY RARE today to see well behaved, good mannered and obviously well raised children today. We did back in my day but why do the rarely exist today???
I think the answer is obvious if you simply look around and compare this generation to ours prior to the 60’s.
