It's no surprise Democrat Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is an advocate of socialism. He's openly advocated for socialist policies on the 2016 campaign trail and back in the 1980s, Sanders argued bread lines are a sign of economic progress.
"You know, it's funny. Sometimes American journalists talk about how bad a country is when people are lining up for food. That's a good thing. In other countries, people don't line up for food. The rich get the food and the poor starve to death," Sanders lamented at the time.
But now that Venezuelan socialism is leading to the downfall of the country, with citizens hunting dogs and cats for food as the government fails to equally provide, Sanders doesn't have much to say.
During an interview with Univision this week, Sanders was specifically asked about the current failing of socialist systems throughout South America. Sanders avoided commenting.
LEÓN KRAUZE, UNIVISION: I am sure that you know about this topic: various leftist governments, especially the populists, are in serious trouble in Latin America. The socialist model in Venezuela has the country near collapse. Argentina, also Brazil, how do you explain that failure?
BERNIE SANDERS: You are asking me questions…
LEÓN KRAUZE: I am sure you’re interested in that.
BERNIE SANDERS: I am very interested, but right now I’m running for President of the United States.
LEÓN KRAUZE: So you don’t have an opinion about the crisis in Venezuela?
BERNIE SANDERS: Of course I have an opinion, but as I said, I’m focused on my campaign.
Sanders is focused on his campaign while Venezuelans are focused on surviving.
He will reply like all sociailist reply. It is the capitalists who are hording all the food etc and denying it to the masses. Then, they will claim that American interventions are undermining the “system” to create havoc.
Wait for it.
The Sandernistas can’t be happy!
He will reply like Kirsten Powers replied on BOR’s Show last week about Venezuela, she said “How come your focusing on Venezuela, how about the Socialist countries that do good?” Yes she actually said that and she couldn’t name one either
If only the RIGHT people were in charge, it would work this time.
“They didn’t have the RIGHT PEOPLE. And I feel SURE that next time it’s going to work, I really do.”
And they might throw in some bilge about TECHNOLOGY, some type of whize-bang computer crappola.
The Bern doesn’t like questions that pin him down.
I fear for this Republic.
Communism kills
He’s heart-broken. Just can’t believe it could all go wrong. Looking for someone to blame now.
Sanders can promise voters any kind of payoff. He’ll likely be dead of old age within a decade. He won’t have to pick up the tab, he’s on a spending spree with YOUR credit card.
One quibble: socialism has not failed in Venezuela. It has done exactly what it was supposed to do: make the rulers insanely wealthy while depriving the masses of even food and toilet paper so as to keep them down.
Too bad US snowflakes (including one of my nephews) just don’t get it. The fools.
But to be blunt, if they help put Sanders or Hitlery in, they deserve what they get.

It’s interesting because it shows that he knows that he’s in the wrong and so won’t answer.
Bernie at a loss for words. How novel.
If Bernie wins the D nomination by virtue of Hillary being forced out, you can bet Trump will hang Venezuela around Bernie’s neck. Another reason why Trump would beat him soundly in November if that’s the match up.
