An editor at the website Vox, in his outrage against Donald Trump, has declared that it is acceptable to destroy things and be as disruptive as possible in the pursuit of political goals.
In the aftermath of Trump’s visit to San Jose, which attracted many protesters and eventually resulted in a riot, many observers were quick to condemn violence for political ends.
Emmett Rensin wasn’t one of those people.
Instead, he said that in the right circumstances, it is perfectly justifiable to destroy property, disrupt events, and otherwise derail democracy, as long as one doesn’t kill people (Rensin notably identifies as a pacifist):
Rensin, who also authored an April Vox piece denouncing the “Smug style of American liberalism,” mocked Trump critics in the media for hyping up the dangers of Trump and then being repulsed by violence against Trump supporters.
For what it’s worth, Vox Media has a pretty nice office in New York. It also has a smaller office in Washington D.C. If somebody wanted to negotiate the destruction of Rensin’s property, it probably wouldn’t be difficult:
That whole left wing liberal media is just plain sick. I’d like to see them try it in cities where there’s open carry allowed.
Yes, someone should dox him and publish his home address.
And his and his wife’s license plates.
I want to know exactly how committed he is to his ideals.

It is way past for these cretins to suffer the consequences of their ideas — perhaps a group of angry conservatives should burn his house down and see how he likes it.
