Understand the scope of this story and you understand the reason why the entirety of the progressive left has been harping on the Trump University story. They are desperate to keep eyes and attention from the San Jose violence and the city officials who factually facilitated and organized it. Of course the insufferable GOPe and ‘Conservative Punditry’ are stupid enough not to see that.
Newly released arrest reports, from one of the only charges filed so far in the San Jose mob attacks against Donald Trump supporters, contain some harrowing accounts written by under cover police officers who witnessed the onslaught.

The Hobbs Act criminalizes both robbery and extortion, where: "robbery" means the unlawful taking or obtaining of personal property from the person or in the presence of another, against his will;
"extortion" means the obtaining of property from another, with his consent, induced by wrongful use of actual or threatened force, violence, or fear, or under color of official right.

Because the Secret Service is running security at the Trump Rallies, and anywhere Trump will make a public appearance. No conspiracy, but that’s how the Secret Service roll when it comes to protecting the party candidates.
So no baseball bats, guns, knifes, brass knuckles, num-chucks, throwing stars, swords or even mace, bear spray, or pepper spray. The folks who attend need to be good with their fists and feet, or run the risk of a beat down for their political views.
It’s up to the local police—or Trump hires security—to protect those who attend his rallies in “enemy territory”.
