And not just DNA. But physiology. The average man is something like twice as strong as a woman, just for starters, and I believe, if I recall correctly, that every organ in the body is significantly influenced by whether the person is a man or a woman.
I’m acquainted with a female-to-male transgender person. I’ve tried to gently suggest to her that transgenderism is a deception and not the answer she believes it is. She was a less feminine woman to begin with, and takes hormones and has had some surgery, and in a way she passes as a male very convincingly. But one day she came into where I work, and I didn’t know it was her as she passed by me. Just seeing her from the back, I thought to myself, that woman is dressed very masculine. So all the hormones and everything still don’t even physiologically change that she’s a woman. And I’ve told her that I don’t at all feel like I’m talking to a man when I talk to her, and nothing could convince me otherwise. The fact that she can appear like a man and in some way believes she is one doesn’t change that.
