National Security Adviser Susan Rice doesn’t like it when you imply she’s a liar. Truth hurts?
Friday morning CNN’s Jim Acosta tiptoed around the real question and asked Rice if she was “being guided by talking points too much.” Way to give her an out as you throw the softball, Jim.
Rice was defensive and careful, muttering something familiar about “the facts as we know them.” When she relays wrong information that is given to her, she said, it doesn’t actually make her a liar.

Knights always tell the truth. Knaves always lie. If you bump into one of them and ask, “Are you a liar?” both will say, “I am not a liar!”

Maybe a better question to ask her is if she has relayed anything she knows to be true.

Our culture may be doomed unless we fundamentally re-assess our concept of Truth.
Much of the 20th century was an exercise in avoiding truth. Stalinist and Nazi propaganda, post-modernism in philosophy, much of psychology (”homosexuality is normal behavior”), and Art (”paint spatters are worth tens of millions of dollars”).
The Left is a huge beneficiary of this. If they can get away with saying something, then the something is True. No one calls them on it. No one demands that they stop lying. It’s just “whatever”.
But if society starts having a powerful negative reaction to falsehood, then there may be hope.
Areas of falsehood:
Feminists care about women.
Black activists care about blacks.
Islam is a religion.
Islam is peaceful.
Transgenders are normal.
Homosexuals are normal.
The Constitution is whatever they say it is.
