Love Laura but i’m going to give Mark Steyn a listen today.

Raymond Arroyo is tedious. I’m not sure why he gets to ride shotgun and be the default guest host but on the other hand Laura’s guest hosts hardly set the world on fire. John Hinderaker, for example, has that singsong Minnesota Nice voice and delivery that is like death by inhalation of saccharine powder.

Arroyo has the radio host’s dreaded disease of ComingUpItis ie reciting the rundown of guests and topics repeatedly and at length as a means of filling airtime with nothingness.

All radio hosts, permanent or guest, need to back off the recitation of phone numbers. The ratio of phone number recitations to actual calls taken is ridiculous. First of all, who is using the phone to communicate in Twitter-land and Email-land? And why? Why are people waiting on hold 30, 45 even 90 minutes to speak for 20 seconds? Is their day that free of activities?
