US Ambassador to Israel Daniel Shapiro addressed the 2016 Herzliya Conference on Wednesday, noting the close social, economic, and political ties between the US and Israel.
Israel is home to over 2,500 US firms, Shapiro said, pointing out that there are more Israeli companies listed on the NASDAQ exchange than Indian, Japanese, and Korean listings combined.
Looking to shore up President Barack Obamas pro-Israel bona fides after more than seven years of diplomatic tensions with the Israeli government, Shapiro claimed the US President admired Israel for its many accomplishments.
Americans admire a people, said President Nixon, who can scratch a desert and produce a garden, said Shapiro. That admiration was on full display during President Obamas visit in 2013. If people want to see the future of the world economy, he [Obama] said, they should look at Tel Aviv, home to hundreds of start-ups and research centers.
Shapiro said the White House remained committed to fighting BDS, but claimed that the most powerful weapon against efforts to delegitimize and isolate Israel is Palestinian statehood.

To wait until you are gone with your boss--
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Let me get this right. The best way to fight BDS is to give them what they want?
Newspeak at its best.
I am frequently sad for Jews in the world. But I am particularly disheartened when it is one of their own selling them out.
There are already plenty of Palestinian states, THEY’RE ARABS!
So, when giving them their own state doesn’t stop the terrorism, will we take that state back and try something else?
Appeasement is the Democrat game plan.
And when that fails (surely they know it will) then Surrender.
They want the Jews dead. The Jews don’t want to be dead. U.S. Envoy: Can’t we compromise somewhere in the middle here?
There already is a Palestinian state - it’s called Jordan.
We already tried that. Doesn’t work.
Dear Ambassador Shapiro,
Move to Gaza. Let me know how that works out for you and your family.
Sincerely
A Zionist hoodlum.
I know, sorry. That was meant to be rhetorical. Of course it won’t work, and of course everything done for the faux palestinians is never retracted; it’s always never enough.
Every tike the talk heads this direction it brings a curse on US from God.
No need to apologize :)
Shapiro skipped Hebrew school when the rabbi explained Exodus, King David, etc.
Dan “Yehudon” Shapiro is just part of a long line of Jewish Foreign service personnel who wish to climb the organizational ladder at State by doing a stint as US Ambassador in Tel Aviv and then move on, form a think tank.
While in Israel, they often times trash Israel in order to show that they are loyal to their President at the time and must then be turncoat Jews or Kapos.
He follows in the glorious footsteps of:
Dan Kurtzer and
Martyn Idyk
We have had lackeys like the good nurtured Dennis Ross, William Cohen, Mad Albright, Sandy Berger and especially Wendy Sherman who conducted the Nuclear treaties with North Korea and Iran, both of which are historical failures.
Usually, once these lackeys leave their posts in Tel Aviv they write a book or continue to speak out but in almost all circumstances they admit that during their tenure they were kind of forced to be unfair and not balanced regarding Israel.
No person better represents this turncoat example than Dennis Ross or Martin Indyk.
Indyk is by far the worst.
Ross plays a fawning role of, “I knew it was wrong all along and we were unfair to Israel”.
Now why they admit this after they leave their post can only be interpreted as that they feel guilty about propping up the PLO/HAMAS murderers while their fellow Jews died as a DIRECT RESULT of the policies they followed like good, non-offensive Jews. All this to the detriment to their brothers and sisters in Israel.
The rest of the analysis would have to be taken up with S. Freud...

Yea, I'm sure that dent will buff right out.
Palestinian statehood - give the PA a safe haven from which to launch attacks on Israel.
No, I don’t think so.
The PLO said as much almost four decades ago.
Palestinian statehood - give the PA a safe haven from which to launch attacks on Israel.
The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle (jihad) against the state of Israel for our Arab unity.
