Plenty of small, cheap water filters remove lead and other minerals. I don’t doubt that filtered water will be safe to drink. Whether the lead-contaminated water is safe for showers is another question.

I forget what the number was but I did the math and save myself many hundreds of euros a year by drinking tap water.
