Trust me, they do. Many of them came here to get away from the crazies.
We have Iranian students here and even they aren’t religious. The college girls don’t even wear a hijab. Note: Iranian women are hot.
Most likely to be religious: Kuwaitis. Saudis will build a mosque but not attend it. As best I can tell, Muslims think other Muslims should be religious.
I understand them being hesitant/unwilling to walk away from the religion, since the penalty for apostasy is death. But the core scriptures and beliefs of the creed are incompatible with Western values.
It’s time to make people make a choice.
Back in the day, I used to work at a restaurant. We had a waiter named Yousuf. A Paki. During the Iranian hostage crisis, he wore a sticker tag under his name tag that stated he was not Iranian.
He was here for school. Never spoke of religion. He was a pretty easy going guy. Don’t know if he stayed, went home or what became of him.
