That is just sad.

Not that it would change your situation, but couldn’t an attorney just say “no preference” or something of the sort - just to be left alone? Of course, that’d preclude being active in party politics, which IMHO is a deprivation of your right to freedom of association, but at least people wouldn’t lose their ability to earn a living just because of their political preferences.

This is anecdotal but I believe 5% of lawyers in NM are Republicans. Yet anecdotal evidence shows they get about 35% of the Disciplinary actions. We need to destroy the Bar because that is the Democrat bench.
