Allen West explains why he 'can't thank' FBI 'enough' for not recommending charges against Clinton
Business Insider via AOL ^ | July 6, 2016 | Oliver Darcy

Former Florida Congressman Allen West wrote in a blog post Wednesday that he was "delighted" the FBI will not recommend charges against Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email system as secretary of state.

"I can't thank Director [James] Comey enough for coming to this decision," West wrote.

The conservative firebrand said he "always" had "concern" President Barack Obama would "release the hounds" on Clinton in an effort to replace her as the presumptive Democratic nominee with Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden, West contended, would have been far more difficult for Donald Trump to defeat in November.

"That would be a really tough ticket to beat, since Joe Biden's favorables, regardless of gaffes and such, are extremely high," West wrote.

West wrote that Comey had instead opted to leave Clinton in the race as a significantly damaged candidate — a "gift wrapped with a bow" to Republicans.

West is wrong to say this is acceptable or beneficial. West could wind up with a wonderful grandchild if his daughter were violated by a savage, but if he were to predict that the morning after, what would be a sane person’s reaction?

“I can’t thank your rapist enough!” is not the right answer.

Yes, I think you’re right. Good analysis. And for the same reason, Comey didn’t recommend an indictment because it would ultimately expose Obama.

Lol. I dared mention the possibility of Biden stepping in for Hitlery right here in FR a couple weeks ago, and was ridiculed for the notion. After making the prediction, I was told to “keep my day job”. Hilarious.

The propaganda is so predictable, as is the stupidity of most female voters. Who are the ones who gave us Obama twice. Without the white female vote Obama would NEVER have been elected.

From a purely analytical perspective . . .

In the New York Times' article "Democrats Count on Edge with Women to Limit Election Losses (Oct 31, 2014)," the reporter cites a Republican pollster who states that: "Democrats have not won a majority of white women since 1992."

I heard that same information more than once in previous years. For example, around 15 years ago, a friend of mine, who is a long-time professional pollster, explained that white women have been trending Republican since then.

Analytically, it means that for a quarter century the entire gender gap has been the result of minority women overwhelmingly voting for the Democrats. There actually is a pro-Republican bias among white women, but it clearly is less than the pro-Republican bias among white men.

“...woman...hates Donald Trump...”

Anecdotal. It is possible that you live in a liberal area and are overhearing old(er) women in Hillary’s age group. The young women (millenial, 18+ and 20 somethings) in my daughters’ age groups cannot stand Hillary and loved Bernie if they were liberals.

A handful of their 50 something mothers like Hillary and that is abut it. Hillary has (some of) the menopausal women and the hand-out folks and that’s it. These demographics will NOT be enough to carry her in the end and we all (not you personally) must not fall into negativity that the left wants us to by believing their lies. The few left “with her” want us to be discouraged.

Myself and the women in my family are Trump all the way and so are the women in the in-law families that my daughters have married into. This is anecdotal too, but illustrates that the anecdotal evidence runs both ways.

The idea that women hate Trump and love Hillary is a dem talking point that ought to be laid to rest as the myth it is, drummed up to discourage us.

Newt would be fine as VP because he has the intellect and guts and experience to actually go after Hillary and the power elites because he knows exactly how they operate and think and is WILLING TO CALL THEM ON IT; something Romney and the RINOS refused to do. This fact is practically ALL that matters right now to save our country, despite his baggage. No one cares about his love life. Trump does not necessarily need a “prop” “woman” unless she can actually attack like a Newt (or someone else who is willing to attack) and there may not be one out there. Sure Newt has baggage but this ability overrides the baggage.

Newt has the experience and intelligence to get ahead of and out in front of the Clinton/Obama and GOPe evil thinking and play offense instead of endless RINO pathetic weak defense.

I remember Catherine Herridge from when she first started in 1996 and have loved watching her since that day. I think she is one of the only women alive who had, in 1996, a perfect face, totally symmetrical.

I disagree. Biden is just another self-serving insider. And the reason for Trump’s massive appeal is precisely because he is not a politician. If Trump can dispatch 16 Republican contenders, defeating Biden would be a walk in the park. Don’t forget the Bernie voters would be inspired more than ever to either vote Trump or sit out the election, believing their guy Bernie was robbed of the nomination.

Making Biden the nominee without the voting process, would be no different than the GOPe trying to foist Romney on us. There would be a massive, massive revolt.

Trump, reminding everyone that the system is rigged, resonates.

To clarify, it’s the president who determines who has to have clearance. There is still a process.

Biden is a likeable guy and appears harmless, so Colonel West has a point there.

“But has Comey ever been this political in his career?”

Totally. BOR had a WSJ columnist on last night who explored Comey’s politics as a prosecutor, though the columnist was not as kind as to Comey’s motivation on this one, pretty much indicting Comey didn’t have the balls to recommend indictment when he should have.

Watched some of it. The Dems looked like real idiots with their partisan posturings (Maloney was the worst, Norton is fossilized, Cummings the usual shuck & jive) and the Republicans IMO are making Comey look like he left out mucho details in his dramatic earlier statement.

This isn’t helping Hillary, either. Incompetent or criminal, she is a lot of both.

Disagree. An indictment of Hillary would have been a diaster for the Dems. If the Dem Establishment had tried to replace Hillary with Biden, the Dem party would have descended into chaos. The Bernie spporters would go nuts. Bernie went thru the primary process. He would claim, rightfully, that he is next in line for the nomination.

Absolutely right. This is a victory for the dems, pure and simple. Just like the 2012 Supreme Court upholding of obamacare. Everyone said that decision would wreck the dems by forcing people to vote against the Supreme Travesty. It didn’t. They didn’t.
