Disagree. An indictment of Hillary would have been a diaster for the Dems. If the Dem Establishment had tried to replace Hillary with Biden, the Dem party would have descended into chaos. The Bernie spporters would go nuts. Bernie went thru the primary process. He would claim, rightfully, that he is next in line for the nomination.

“An indictment of Hillary would have been a diaster for the Dems.”

yeah, but the FBI doesn’t indict, the DoJ does or at least convenes a grand jury. All the FBI can do is recommend an indictment, and then the DoJ sits on it forever with “we’re reviewing the case”, meanwhile eveyone in the the FedGov claiming no further information can be given out because the case is being “actively reviewed”.

Comey got out in front of Lynch and short-circuited the cover up. He had only one shot at saying his peace, and then he would have had to shut up; now he has the opportunity to go before Congress and divulge even more information “under questioning”, something that wouldn’t have been possible if the whole thing had been handed over to Lynch “for further review”.

The FBI cannot indict anybody. All they can do is send a referral up and it is the discretion of the prosecutors to bring charges.

I am beginning to think that Comey’s public submittal was far more damaging that just a referral whose details would have been kept under seal, guaranteed. The AG could have just had her statement to say that the prosecutors decided . . . . . Comey saw this coming after the tarmac visit and her subsequent statements and laid out the evidence before making his announcement of no referral because he knew it would have never been approved to move forward with a prosecution.

Ask yourself, would we have ever known the details of a referral? Right now it is all conjecture but Catherine Herridge had an interesting take while she was right there in the front row. She thought he was sullen from his typical self and was even considering that he may just resign soon because his decision on its face was just not the guy she had come to know.

Who knows, maybe today he does his little thing with the Congress hearings and then lays it all out as to why he did what he did that everyone agrees makes absolutely no sense to lay out a multi-point indictment and then let her off. Maybe the man figured the only way to nail the bitch was to do it in the court of public opinion, where it does her the most damage. Remember, the Crime Family Foundation is still under investigation. Maybe he will pull the same thing.

You are correct. The nomination would rightfully have been Bernie’s if Crooked Hillary had to drop out. Otherwise chaos would have resulted. Bernie went through the process and kept it a fairly close race right to the end. He gave The Crooked One a much tougher fight than Cruz gave Trump.

Biden worked on his tan.

Absolutely right. This is a victory for the dems, pure and simple. Just like the 2012 Supreme Court upholding of obamacare. Everyone said that decision would wreck the dems by forcing people to vote against the Supreme Travesty. It didn’t. They didn’t.
