Donald Trump will showcase his vice presidential pick at a public event on Friday, multiple sources tell NBC News.
Trump's possible picks are thought to be narrowed to three candidates: Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
While the joint appearance is expected on Friday, it's not clear whether or not the identity of the pick could be released or could leak earlier in the week.
Trump is scheduled to attend a fundraiser and rally in Indiana Tuesday night with Pence; he campaigned with Christie on Monday and with Newt Gingrich last week.
He told the New York Times earlier Tuesday that he intended to make a decision "over the next three- to four-day period of time," adding that his "gut" would be an important factor in making the decision.

I have to agree. He is the most telegenic. He would be good in debates. Would help carry Jersey and New York.
I don’t think it will be any of those three. There’d be no point in choosing Christie.
1. How do you know where to monitor from, and where are they going? I don’t think a location has been announced but I’m still getting caught up. For all we know, Trump will just announce it on Twitter without the person being in attendance.
2. Maybe Trump will travel to them? Trump’s tail numbers haven’t been trackable for over a year.
3. There are hundreds of charter (not to mention commercial) flights a day.
4. The person who tracked Sarah Palin had an inkling it would be her, so was only watching charters from Anchorage to Minnesota. When Trump’s plane had the emergency landing in Nashville earlier this year, I was able to track a charter from Nashville to Little Rock, then a few hours later, the same plane flew from Little Rock to NYC then back to Nashville. The Trump plane left Nashville after repairs then flew back to NYC at a later time.
Its just me but I would think Christie brings the most to the ticket among the three.
Private aircraft can be purposely hidden from flightaware. I would guess This will be the case this time.
You can track routes and airport activity.
Trump is still railing against NAFTA even as we type. This rules out Newt IMO.
If I'm right, I'll like who he picks. Either way Trump is VERY smart, and will make a smart choice.
The VP doesn’t do much except hang and go to funerals.
He can attack and beat Clinton on law and order and on her breaking the law.
I wouldn’t pick him, but at this stage of our country, a change has to happen and Trump is it - hopefully.
We can fight Christie another day.
Knowing Trump, who he picks will be a complete surprise.
It would not surprise me if Trump announces a whole team of great people for his cabinet at the convention, that encompasses many of the finalists - then turns them loose on the Hildabeast.
Out of the three, I’d have to go with Nest, though I think he’d be more useful in some other capacity.
Man, I was really hoping Donald would pick someone who could bring excitement and energy to the ticket. Shucks...

I can’t stand ANY of those three. Pence is a coward who bent over for the Gay Mafia. Newt is a neo-Progressive fraud. And Chrispy Creme is his vile self. Is there NO ONE else?
It can't be Flynn, because Social Conservatives are mad that he is "pro-choice." Meanwhile Christie is pro-abortion, pro-illegal alien and pro-Muslim, and none of those idiots complaining as much as they are Flynn.

Newt brings a lot of excitement to the ticket. When Newt appeared with Trump last week, Newt’s speech was featured as the headline for almost 24 hours.
The Ohio crowd was going wild for Newt to the point where several times Trump acknowledged the enthusiasm for Newt. And OH isn’t even Newt’s home state.
Newt got things done with a Democrat President in the 90’s. Newt knows the constitution and if he becomes President of the Senate, we will have the pleasure of being a part of an American Civics Class 101-Graduate level on a daily basis.
Newt knows the intent of our Founders. Newt loves our country and is a modern day American Revolutionary. Go Newt for VP.
