A Sky News reporter has infuriated viewers by referring to last night's brutal attack in Nice as 'vintage Isis'.

Viewers took to Twitter to chastise reporter Lisa Holland for her 'disgusting' choice of words, which they referred to as 'gutter journalism'.

She used the words just a couple of hours after the attack which killed at least 84 people celebrating Bastille Day in the southern French city at around 10.30pm local time last night.

Why the Hell are people outraged over that? It IS vintage ISIS, or at least, Islam.

There are probably a lot of people way more pissed about that than the actual carnage.

And we know who they probably are. The people who don’t want us to “jump to conclusions”.

She meant “classic,” or “typical.” Reporters and talking heads misuse words all the time, just like the rest of the general population now that the three Rs have been replaced with “social justice.” Everything is “impacted,” “literally...”

This is not a time to divide people along the lines of race and religion. It's time to come together for common sense truck control.

The English language (or at least the average person’s command of it) has been very much debased. I proffer the sad rise of the work “icon” as an example.

The English Language has been worse than debased, My FRiend. It has been bastardized, perverted, profained,”Black” Englished, slanged to the point that intelligent, informative, and interesting conversations are a thing of the past. I used to enjoy listening to Englishmen converse with each other. The colorful ways they, without resorting to profanity were a joy to hear. Now, every other word is either,”like” or “motherfuck”.

"work" should be "word."

"Icon" has replaced a half-dozen words, at least, in everyday usage, e.g., role-model, idol, hero, exemplar, leading-light, master, etc. I hope it days from overuse.

I see "vintage" in the same category, though this reporter was speaking off the cuff and should be given a pass.

"days" should be "dies."
