I had a concussion, a cracked rib, a separated shoulder, and was heavily sedated. Under those circumstances, I see no rationale at all for them not telling my family which hospital I had been taken to.

The problem they faced was the Federal Government, risking punishment and funding for breaking HIPPA regulations if they mentioned anything.
It’s a bit much to hope for, but maybe that craziness will be relaxed a bit under President Trump.
