If i’m not mistaken, the newest versions of the H-6 were built after the 1990s and are younger airframes than most of the U.S. bomber fleet.
I do believe you are right. Our bombers went into service prior to the Vietnam War. Lots of “stop drills” and pop-riveted plates are in those babies.
