It really bothers me that this poor woman lost her son, a man who gave his life for his country, and no one in our government could achieve justice for her, or actually even cared to, and didn’t even have the damned decency to give her an honest answer.

Earlier this morning I read a report about how MSNBC’s Chris Matthews thought it inappropriate for this woman to speak at the convention. In the comments section, someone very rightfully pointed out that this was the same Chris Matthews who (along with countless others in the media) thought that Cindy Sheehan was a hero for camping outside the Bush ranch to protest the Iraq war, since her soldier son died in that war. No wonder why reporters really are becoming the ones who make lawyers and used car salespeople look much better by comparison.

Exactly. We see terror attacks all over Europe and also in the US. The Middle East is in turmoil, China is flexing its muscles, a looming (or ongoing) banking crisis etc, etc and the MSM is excited about a few “greeting card” sentences in a speech by a candidate’s wife.

I’m a Viet Nam War Era Vet, I did not serve in Viet Nam though. I’ve noticed this for a long, long time. We’ve become number, statistics, to the various Elites over time. To Politicians we’re voters every two years and unless you are a ‘paying supporter’ you are really not a person or an individual either. You are just a number, a statistic or at best a member of a certain class of people that need to be courted or appeased.
