The race distinctions may fade away but the class distinctions are only going to get worse.
And god bless (as if) the "Grannies;" the white grandmothers of interracial babies. Everybody shuns them, both races and all members of the now disfunctional life they lead. I've seen them in the grocery stores, pushing a cart full of baby and baby things; Mom is at work to support as best she can, being an unwed, uneducated woman in an already poor economy. No father in sight, no prospects for "Grannie" either if she's widowed or divorced, or even worse abandoned by whatever male she lived with. Seen it. 75 years of "Seen It."
and I'd bet that most of the mothers are white.
