Donald Trump needed to give the speech of his lifehe did that, and much more. He laid out an inspiring American Manifesto for our troubled times.
And he did it his way.
Not surprisingly, from start to finish, it is muscular and bold, leavened only by appeals to racial harmony and pledges of compassion for all. It offers a prominent nod to Bernie Sanders supporters in a bid to get some to jump the Democratic ship.

Lights out for Hillary.
Trump has dealt with tougher cookies than the limp dicks in DC. He will bring big guns to bear on these guys and they will wet their pants when he swings by and pops in during a session of Congress.
It was dark alright, for Clinton and her media enablers.
...
The media is as crooked as she is.
Well done image, Byron!
Hats off to the NY Post writer, Michael Goodwin. His analysis is brilliant.
I’m a builder.
Turns out, Trump’s one of us!
“It is going to take much more than a speech to get ...”
The NYP merely said that the speech “could mark the start of an American revival”. I don’t think that’s an overstatement.
The whole family are master carpenters - they keep nailing it!
He has to be given the tools to implement, choose carefully your down ballot candidates, NO RINOS. Don’t give the RNC orgs a dime, choke them off, give to your candidates directly.
Give him a RINO controlled House and Senate and he gets little done except through EO’s. First EO make all DUMBO’s EO’s null and void, 2nd FIRE all DUMBOS Appointees.
All those LIBTARD Fed judges will fight tooth and nail to block true reform.
I hope that CNN screen shot was not photo shopped. If those numbers are correct, Hitlary doesn’t have a snow balls chance in hell. I pray that I am right.
That's the very predictable media take. It's predictable because they ALL support liberal policies and support Hillary/Obama. So to criticize or otherwise point out these major failures, well that's "negative" because they don't like it when their team gets attacked.
WOW, 73% of America is “negative” or “dark”, LOL
Indeed! I don’t recall ever seeing a politician give such a from the heart and meaningful speech. It was amazing.
Dark. Yes. The MSM had their talking points before Trump spoke his first word. They need to be unified to set the stage for their glowing praise of Clinton after the demo convention next week. This is journalistic theater. It’s the biggest straw man ever built.
“Dark” is the new “gravitas.”
SOZ: You are correct. I didn’t concentrate on the word “could”.
Sorta like what the definition of “is” ... IS!

I forced myself to watch last nights Real Time with Bill Maher Convention Edition in which Trump and his speech and the convention were completely maligned. It was painful and depressing to watch as the fascist and hitler references were in abundant supply. It is only comedy and entertainment, but that is how a large portion of the electorate receives the foundation of their twisted views, from jokes and jesters. And this empaneled team of jesters all have their talking points finely tuned. Watch it, if you can stand to, if you really want to observe angles of just a few of the several lines of attack Trump will face in the next few months. Take note of the audience reactions. The media is the enemy of truth. Trump is a media master, but he is up against many other media masters who are aligning their messages and willful audience against him, and he will have to work very hard to overcome their constant stream of lies, eh, comedy bits. I could detect their fear of Hillary losing, but that will only embolden their attacks on on Trump on her behalf. The battle has begun. Remain calm, grab up your neighbors, and vote Trump.
The problem with Hitler is he went beyond the law. That describes Hillary and her husband (impeached, disbarred, and found in contempt of court).
People have this misconception that nationalism and being a good public speaker made Hitler evil. That’s not the case.
