I am currently ensconced in a lovely, oceanfront beach home on the NC shore. Even though it’s a balmy 95° to 100° outside, it’s a perfect 72° inside.
All would be perfect, but I’m surrounded by a herd of the wife’s in-laws...most of which are die-hard democrats.
Oh, did I mention it’s hot as Hades?
I think I’m gonna turn the A/C off and when these lousy Obama-voting, Clinton-loving, wine-sipping, cheese-eating purveyors of political misery start complaining, I’ll make them aware of Kerry’s pronouncement.
Lived in New Bern and had access to a friends ocean front home in Kitty Hawk for a number of years. We stayed there often.
It gets damn hot there. But oh so beautiful as well.
And family can be a PITA ... especially in the political season. Good luck with that.

Hahaha. This is great! Kerry should immediately stop using a/c in all his homes and cars.
Just force them to turn the air conditioning off. Then next administration will probably need it when they take over.
He may have - I don’t remember Obama’s call for that... I do however, very well remember Peanut Carter’s “fireside chat” TV speech with him in a sweater extolling the virtues of low thermostat settings and cold homes because as President he was not smart or courageous enough to do anything at all about the OPEC oil embargo. Carter was pathetic, stupid, and malaise inducing. Obama, Kerry, and Clinton are just evil.
It would be GREAT to see Trump’s Campaign seize on this, or Trump himself.

Remove sir conditioning from every single one of Kerry’s properties-—his cars-—his vacation places. Remove all of his refrigerators & freezers, also. Let his food & medication spoil.

Remove air conditioning from all legislative offices in DC. And the White House. Historically, that kept legislators home during the warm/hot months and kept them from making more laws.
Air conditioning is for equipment survival, improving equipment MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) and service life.
When all equipment can be MilStd and can tolerate 140 degree temps then you can remove the A/C. Of course the operators and users will all die of heat stroke within hours but they can be replaced. (/sarc)
