Obama: Donald Trump’s nomination ‘says something’ about the Republican Party

In a taped interview with CBS's John Dickerson that aired Sunday on "Face the Nation," Obama said that fact "says something about what's happened to the Republican Party over the course of the last eight, 10, 15 years."

Obama also reiterated what he said in a news conference on Friday: that he doesn't think the dark picture of America that Trump painted in his nomination speech is true, even in the wake of an attack on a Munich mall later that day that killed at least nine people.

I'm sure someone can go back further than me, but it seems to me that when Democratic lawmakers were meeting with the Sandinistas in the 1980s, that made the Democratic party our enemies.

We are done with so called Republicans making “nice” with Washington.
