The Logan Act prohibits persons not authorized by the government from negotiating with a foreign power with whom the US has a dispute. To say that Trump’s comment about Hillary’s “missing” emails constitutes a violation of that statute is, to put it kindly, bizarre.
Can we get some clarity please?
