Obama issues guidance making it tougher to build roads, bridges in name of climate change
Washington Times ^ | August 2, 2016 | Valerie Richardson

Building that bridge or expanding that highway just became more difficult under a rigorous standard issued Tuesday by the Obama administration that will make it easier to block a wide range of projects in the name of climate change.

The final guidance broadens the National Environmental Policy Act by requiring agencies to quantify the impact of activities that require federal permits not just on the environment but also on “projected direct and indirect GHG [greenhouse gas] emissions.”

...

Republicans blasted the guidance as the latest in a flurry of resident Obama’s end-of-term executive actions, led by the Clean Power Plan, arguing the guideline will further restrict economic development by weaving rules on climate change into federal regulations.

“This will result in significant new litigation exposure that will slow or block most every major activity requiring NEPA approval,” said House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Rob Bishop, Utah Republican

...

James Inhofe, Oklahoma Republican and chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, argued that the White House Council on Environmental Quality lacks the authority to issue the guidance, given that the panel has not had a Senate-confirmed chairman since February 2014.

But these are regulations and regulations can be changed without passing laws. So many of Obola’s regs can be changed for the better by a Trump administration that economic growth can received a major boost from that alone.

So the Dims want an infrastructure stimulus bill to do what? All they will be doing is fattening up their crony lawyer and consultant friends who’ll kick back millions to their campaigns. Even less will get done than last time.

In fact, we would be in an economic depression for his whole 2 terms but for the fact he has printed and thrown out trillions of dollars to make it look like we still have an operating economy.

Obama is making some very strange moves for a lame duck president with less than 6 months remaining in office.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

Thank you for referencing that article george76. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Patriots, regardless that corrupt Congress is letting last-term, low-information Obama get away with stealing legislative branch powers to harass the states with his climate politics, note that the states have never delgated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific powers to regulate environmental issues, or to regulate, tax and spend to build roads and bridges outside the scope of running the US Mail Sernice (1.8.7).

This is evidenced by President James Madison’s explantion of Congress’s constituional Article I, Section 8-limited powers in the constitutionally required veto explanation to Congress after he vetoed Congress’s public works bill in 1817.

Veto of federal public works bill, 1817

In other words, and with all due respect to the family, friends and supporters of the late President Eisenhower, please consider the following. Low-information Eisenhower’s post-17th Amendment ratification, post-FDR era interstate highway system, along with bunch of other things that the feds now tax and spend for, have been wrongly established outside the framework of the Constitution. This is evidenced by the following excerpts from Supreme Court case opinions.

Note that the constitutionally powerful states can always delegate to the constitutionally humbled feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for INTRAstate public works and environmental issues.

But until the states actually decide to amend the Constitution for such purposes, corrupt Congress has no constitutional authority to appropriate taxes for such vote-winning purposes.

Remember in November !

Patriots need to support the Trump / Pence ticket by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision for making America great again for everybody, but will also put an end to unconstitutional federal taxes and likewise unconstitutional interference in state affairs.

And when the feds put a stop to unconstitutonal federal taxes — with help from the angry states — the states eliminating an unconstitutional middleman, then the states will probably be able to take care of their own infrastructures.

Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.
