I appreciate your thoughts. And, I appreciate that many who served there and suffered much more than I are willing to forgive and forget. But, some of us aren’t.

Well I understand your feelings.

I’m still forming opinions of Vietnam, but thus far, my experiences have been quite positive. I expected some sort of warrior country, holding grudges on a national scale. I did not however see that, at all.

Like I said, two entire generations have now grown up since the war ended. This is a very young country, in age.

It is not a party type of place, like Thailand, or Cambodia. You actually need to apply for a Visa before going, you cannot just go. And there is almost no bar scene, like again Thailand or Cambodia.

However I like it.

I did not however come here back then, to fight.

I was a bit too young then. The one thing I noticed is, the Vietnamese seem to have for the most part forgotten that. Sure there is still an older generation, who gets it. All I am saying is, I have been quite pleasantly surprised.

So far, anyway.
