Duncan Hunter: Why Donald Trump Has the Temperament to Be President
politico ^ | 08/11/2016 | Duncan Hunter

Posted on 08/13/2016 9:54:27 AM PDT by MaxistheBest

For Donald Trump, the latest recurring question around his candidacy—incited by the liberal left and parroted by even some Republicans—is whether he has the right temperament to be Commander in Chief.

With Trump, what you see is what you get. Through the course of the campaign, that’s been one of his greatest attributes and it explains why so many Americans, tired of politics as usual, are rallying behind him.

What is so hard for Trump’s detractors to grasp is that what they don’t like about Donald Trump has nothing to do with temperament—he’s got it. He’s proved over the course of his highly successful business career that he’s got all the right qualities as a leader and a visionary.

What they really don’t like is his style—and they’re purposefully conflating the two.

-------------------------------------------------

In Presidential contests, character and temperament have always been issues of intrigue. This campaign is no different. President George W. Bush experienced it, so did President Obama. Trump is facing attacks of his own, in this case regarding his temperament, but those launching the attacks, to include some Republicans, really just take issue with him personally. Why not be truthful and say, “I just don’t like the guy.”

Trump has charisma and backbone. He’s got a world view that is consistent with reality. And he’s worked and excelled in a competitive industry for his entire adult life.

Like it or not, Trump has the right temperament to be President.

It does not matter what the topic about Trump is. The Commies and the Corrupt will attack it. It is all they have and they can comment on NOTHING that is good for America which the want to destroy. Even FOX NEWS spends all its time focusing on Trump and little (except Hannity) on Hillary and her crimes and communist agenda.

When the people get fed up and want to hire a guy to come in kicking ass and cleaning house and firing/closing down about half the over-bloated tyrannical government and getting our fiscal and national security house back in order, you don’t want a pussy.

I was just talking to my mother who lives in the old-age home. All the old women there are chattering about how mean old Donald Trump "kicked that baby out of his rally."

We all know that it didn't happen that way but this is how the lemmings are led by the mainstream media.

In November, all good Americans need to get to the polls and vote. If that happens, we get the right outcome, despite the lies and disinformation being spread to the lemmings by the mainstream media.

The self-anointed elites who have been awaiting “their turn” at power realize that they’ll never reach their goal if Trump is elected. Trump will be followed by Pence, and then by further Trump-taught individuals. What freedom-loving Americans look for in a candidate is personified by Trump.

“getting our fiscal and national security house back in order”

The big lie has been that we can’t cut the budget because mandatory spending takes up most of the budget; that there is just not enough of discretionary spending to cut to make a difference.

In 2015, discretionary spending was $1.11 TRILLION dollars. Cut just 5% and you have just saved over $55 BILLION a year. There is not a budget on earth, whether it be home, business or government that cannot be cut by 5%. The first thing a corporation in financial stress does is CUT THERE COSTS!

It’s that easy folks. Does anybody actually believe that there isn’t 5% waste in government?

Yes by all means let’s get on defensive and defend a presidential candidates ‘temperament’ so it will keep this non-story alive for the liberal talking heads to utilize. He could throw in that Trump doesn’t beat his wife either. (sarcasm)

“Sen. Chuck Grassley, the leading taxpayer watchdog in Congress, revealed Friday that the Veterans Administration has spent $16 million during the Obama years — even as it was cutting services to war veterans.”

The Iowa senator said that over half a million was spent for artwork at a REHABILITATION CENTER for the BLIND.

Anyone have a contact to Duncan? I sent him a case of dogs for his campaign and have been trying to get in touch with him about how the administration is now charging people for the use of the emblems of our military.

I don't know how current this is, but the California State Bar has an address for him:

P O Box 2233
Alpine, CA 91903

I think he would have made a great president -- in fact, I voted for him absentee before he quit the race. :-(
