My abuser was arrested decades later and was found to have a hidden camera in his bathroom, with a monitor in his closet along with one of those life sized toddler dolls (made for little girls to play with, not a sex toy). HE COMMITTED MULTIPLE COUNTS of child molestation and rape. Allowing them to simulate sex with children DOES NOT HELP.
A better idea is to shoot these sick SOB’s in the head with a cheap bullet and be done with it.

The research is overwhelming: access to “specialized” pornography increases the desire to engage in those activities. You can for some perversions generate other results with careful in-patient design and oversight, but that level of supervision would not be in place in the real world implementation of this proposal. I assume the increased desire to engage in the behavior would carry over to pedophile dolls. These are a terrible idea and in no way something for which prescriptions (and medicare) should be used.

One the other hand an armed society does greatly reduce rape. Something about knowing that you have a chance of dying tends to suddenly cause you to control those "uncontrollable urges"
Knowing you can not indulge without your being possibly hurt and killed will result in a tendency to squash the fantasy rather then indulge.
The more you squash the more control you gain, the more control you gain the more you can channel the desire into something else.

How long before even talk of treatment is criminalized? Once upon a time, homosexuality was considered a mental disorder and now it is lauded and protected. Pedophilia will be there too within 10 years at the rate we are going.
