Awful.
I get great service from the VA myself.
I haven’t had to use the VA yet myself...I hope I never have to...Not only because of their recent history, but also because a whole lot of recent conflict vets are young and need the help more than I do....
I would love to see trump, as president, clean up the whole Veterans Affairs Dept....
Amen to that -- I could not have hoped for any better care than I've gotten, especially over the past year. I'm blessed to have VA Palo Alto there for me.

Same here. Had cataracts both eyes to the point of total blindness in 2002. VA to the rescue. NOW both eyes the lens muscles failed, and the lenses have dropped. Minimal sight in one eye only. VA will be taking care of it in October.
Was going in for surgery yesterday per previous schedule, but my wife got knocked on her butt by a spooked horse, so had to cancel to take care of her. Rescheduled to October. VA has been very accommodating.
Wife is up, and about. Walking with a limp, but already tossed the walker aside. Tough ol’ gal at 72.
Some of the VA Med Centers are quite good, as are a lot of the docs, but there are some bad apples. I went to a VA Med Center ER (not the one I go to now) on a Sunday with a raging infection in my big toe. After a long wait I was issued a prescription for an oral antibiotic and an appointment with a doctor in 3 days. A day later the infection had spread into the instep of my foot. I went to a civilian hospital for emergency treatment. One doc commented " We have to take the toe to save the leg," such was the virulence of the untreated infection. I lost the toe in a successful operation and recovered.

I do too...from the medical staff.
Admin and laboratory personnel are a rude lot.
