FReepers are a special kind of people.
The first FReeper, was a man named Jim Robinson. Seeing things take place in our nation that he knew were wrong, he decided to develop an internet site where patriots could gather and network to effect change. In a short period of time there were literally thousands of people who had joined him. Many were joining him in Washington, D. C. to let our leaders know, we weren't happy. Today those people are known as FReepers and they do something no other site requests of it's members. They voluntarily pay to support the forum they recognize as the best meeting place on the internet, for Conservatism.
Here we discuss policy, the movement to destroy our Founding Principles, and voice support for sound principles and leadership.
Long ago Jim realized that when large entities support you, they want something in return. For that reason he declined offers by large entities to support the forum. He knew that what they offered could be withdrawn anytime he didn't bow to their wishes. We cannot surrender to the influence of large entities or individuals. Our kind never could and never will.
Some folks don't quite grasp these points. As they watch other sites and individuals trash our presidential candidate this time around, they wonder why. The fact is, many of them are beholden to the very sources of funding Jim said no to, or they have let personal loyalties skew their outlook.
That's where you come in. You are a FReeper. You value this forum so much so, that you will help fund the forum even though sometimes it hurts financially to do so. Folks, if it hurts, it's like the Widow's mite. Your donation means so much more when it's a struggle for you to send in that $5, $10, or more dollars, and you do it anyway. Do you realize how unique you are and thereby the forum is? There is no other place like it out there.
You are willing to put your money where your mouth is. That is impressive. The amount of money you help contribute is astounding when you consider you won't be kicked off the forum for not paying. That's right, others will pick up the slack. Why? Because thousands of people come here and recognize just how important Free Republic is.
It's a marvel what you do once a quarter. It's remarkable how dedicated you are to Conservatism, and it's advancement.
Folks, during our nation's founding, not everyone agreed with what was gonig on. There were some knock down drag out fights. I suspect some folks abandoned the effort in disgust, and hoped the Founders would ultimagely fail. In this, you stand with the Founders facing the same dynamics they did. We're a relatively small band of people in the overall scheme of things, who are dedicated to gettting this nation back on track and keeping it there. Look around out there. There aren't that many people left who publicly support our cause the way you do. You by your actions, your resolve, and dedication to Conservatism are the life blood of this nation. When the lights are off everywhere else, there's still a light shining in the Free Republic window 24/7/365. As long as there is a glimmer of FReedom out there, there always will be.
During the nominating process this last year, you saw for yourselves how mamy turncoats there were out there. You saw some of their disciples here. The GOPe and RNC's tenticals extend just about everywhere.
Some of our folks have been upset. They were in a huff because their favorite guy this year did the same thing he has done his whole life. He has failed to form a consensus or connect with people just about everywhere he has gone. From those who went to school with him to those that served with him in the U. S. Senate, people pretty much agree, that he isn't exatly a team player. That discussion has been had. We have a nominee that does love this nation. He wants to set things right on many issues, and he has publicly stated so over and over. Yes, he's for real. And so it is now, that we must fall in behind and support him. We need to consider the stakes, and join others to do the best we can for the nation. It is not an example of principle, to NOT take a stand against the campaign of Hillary Rhodam Clinton, or as we affectionately (as if) refer to her as "Pickles".
We are supporting Donald Trump here. Against the RNC, the GOPe, and the almost unifed media in this nation, we press ahead. We put squabbles behind us. We unify behind the people and organizations that matter. And now we are doing it once again.
Once more it is time to do what FReepers do. Those of us who value this fourm will pick up the slack. We will fund Freep Republic far into the future.
You..., as a current FReeper, I salute you for being a part of this effort.
Freepers are a special kind of people.
We will continue to support FReedom, truth, justice, and the American Way!
I agree with your methodology. I haven’t signed on to the monthly program yet. I am still going through the financial quakes surrounding my 65th birthday and how they have impacted things. My income is certain, but the payment structures have shifted and I’m still trying to iron it all out, so I know my situation month to month. I can’t commit because folks haven’t committed to me. lOL
At any rate, I’m glad I was able to help this time.
Thanks for your comments. All the best...
Thank you Onyx.

About 10 years ago when I discovered Free Republic I'd been given a used computer about six months before by my daughter and SIL and didn't even know how to use it, still am challenged by them. :)
The first year or so here I realized just how great a site this is and started contributing, this site is the premier site on the web as far as I'm concerned.
I encourage all to become Monthly Donors and support Donald Trump!
Thanks JazUSAMo...
It’s nice to hear a little bit of everyone’s story here.
Very cool. Glad you found it and the rest is history.

Nice. Let’s keep FreeRepublic running forever...
Sounds good to me.
It’s up to the next generation, if that comes true.
Let’s hope there are enough folks out there to grasp what it is that makes this nation great.
I honestly think Trump will go a long way toward building reverence for this nation and our Founding principles.
We all do what we can when we can. : )
Well, maybe not all... Heh heh heh...
I know what you mean and I agree with that.
Thank you very much, DoughtyOne!!
You’re welcome Jim. Thanks to you on behalf of everyone here.
Ya done good!
