The fact is, you need nothing of the sort to get rid of most illegals, at least the most troublesome ones. Illegals get intercepted by Law Enforcement all the time for things other than immigration offenses - from traffic violations to violent felonies. These can be deported on the spot (unless their felonies are such that they require long-term incarceration or execution). This creates an environment where other illegals and would-be illegals realize that they'll be next if they ever slip up. Combine this with making it impossible for illegals to obtain various social services, and fining employers who higher illegals stiffer penalties, and those who aren't deported will mostly leave on their own accord. And better still, prospective illegals will think twice about coming here to begin with.
