Merkel won't give up on 'dead' US trade deal

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday stressed her continued support for an EU-US trade agreement being negotiated but recently declared dead by her deputy and by a French minister.

“It is in our interest not to fall behind other world regions, such as the Asian region which has concluded such an agreement with the United States,” the conservative leader told public broadcaster NDR. “I believe that such an agreement would mean job opportunities for us, and we urgently need jobs in Europe.” …

We lose jobs with free trade with countries like Mexico where wages are low, and we lose jobs to communist dictatorships like China but why be afraid of Germany? No reason not to trade with Western Europe. We can send them Whiskey and Fords and they can send us Reisling and BMWs.

The only way to assure national SOVEREIGNTY is to make individual treaties with individual countries like we always used to do. The EU is a massive polyglot that should be avoided. Any entanglement with the EU is bad news. What do you think BREXIT was all about? BTW Britain’s economy has not come crashing down after BREXIT like all the “experts” warned. It has recovered from its slight dip and is growing. Meanwhile the Globalists want to destroy our sovereignty and entangle us in more of a morass than can be imagined. TPP would allow foreign countries to determine our laws and override us with their votes.
