It would be really funny if people started writing “Go Trump” on the Starbucks sidewalk.
Just sayin’.
Starbucks coffee gives me a (cough) cough.
I did not say that I go there. I only defended their dark roast coffees. How do you know your local mom and pop are not Hillary supporters? Baristas in general seem to be a tree-hugging lefty bunch.
I only use K-cups now. I primarily drink decaf because of a heart arrhythmia. When I was a Starbucks customer, I only bought bags of coffee beans to grind and brew myself. Starbucks stopped offering the Verona dark roast in decaf in bean form. Now I use Costco's Pacific Bold K-Cups and Barista Prima Italian Roast decaf K-cups. I have not been in a Starbucks for years.
I was just in the Charlotte NC airport and bought some coffee at Starbucks. It killed me to have to pay that high price. No more.
Boycott Starbucks! Never give these wretched hebes another friggin dime!
Sarcasm, I hope?
Its around $2 for a small (which I believe is a ‘tall’ in their lingo). Somebody gave me a gift card once, and I ventured in a few times to spend it. I suppose that isn’t much more than McDonalds, etc. Honestly, the coffee isn’t really that good though.
Where can I spend my money without it funneling back to the clintons?
FU Schultz! Oh, and your coffee tastes like burned crap!
I like strong coffee and drink it black...it must be that on the rare occasion I have entered a Starbucks, it was not a busy time, because the coffee tasted like it had been burning for hours. I think they just don’t ever throw the coffee out when the crowd dies down. But it definitely is ‘burnt’ sometimes. Reminds me of the stuff we had in the army.
Starbucks must have thousands of stores, each one of which has to be heated, air-conditioned, and use power to keep all the coffee and other funky ingredients blended, heated, cooled whatever.
If they really cared about saving the Earth they would close all of the stores immediately!
I talk to them. People around here are often more than willing to trash liberals in general and The Hildabeast in particular.
I don't miss California!
I turned away from Starbucks a couple of months ago due to their cynical retooling of StarRewards and a suspicious “technical difficulty” with electronic reloads (that was never properly addressed).
Starbucks smallest coffee size which they refer to as “tall” is 1.85 for plain fresh brewed coffee which I think they used to call Americano
The rest is basically dairy or flavoring infused dessert or treat coffee which young people in particular have appropriated as their standard in place of just a basic cup of joe
And that is expensive....someone who drinks two big fancy lattes or frappacinos or macchiatos a day like my little brother....will spend nearly 450-500/month at Starbucks
A car payment
To me it’s a pretentious indulgence
It’s also a meeting place for like minded mostly left wing people
The food is decent to be honest but again not cheap...
Most of my experience with Starbucks has been via grinding their beans and brewing coffee. I have never found it to be bitter or burnt. I would think that any coffee that sits for a while on a warming plate will taste burnt. One reason I switched to K-cups is that every cup is fresh.
Chemex is a good way to brew good beans
A few years ago, Schultz acted as a bagman for obama by placing jars in the Starbucks stores asking for $5 donations to help create jobs. One day they were no longer there. Anyone know what he did with the money? I have my own theory, based on the apparent lack of any accounting for it.
