At the NBC News Commander in Chief forum on Wednesday night aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid in New York, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton invented a new alibi for her mis-handling of classified information, telling host Matt Lauer that she used a secure server when she needed to send classified information.
In July, FBI director James Comey revealed that Clinton not only withheld and deleted work-related emails, but also sent classified emails many marked as such on her private, non-secure email server.
Clinton told Lauer on Wednesday evening:
"I communicated about classified material on a wholly separate system. I took it very seriously. When I traveled, I went into one of those little tents that Im sure youve seen around the world because we didnt want there to be any potential for someone to have embedded a camera to try to see whatever it is that I was seeing that was designated, marked, and headed as classified."
In fact, the FBI report released last week confirmed that Clinton declined to use a state.gov email account, and defied her own departments policy to use an authorized information system for official business. She had no computer in her office, which was a secure environment, nor did she use a computer inside the secured area in her homes. (In her FBI interview, she said she could not recall receiving any advice about email policies.)
The report implies that the only time Clinton used a secure system for sending email was when she was traveling abroad when State Department career staff, not her personal entourage, were responsible for setting up her communications.

“She used a secure server before she hammered her 13 phones after she realized she did not know what c stood for which was before she deleted the 33,000 emails after which she did not send any emails marked classified except those with a c which she thought stood for the letter c in the alphabet which was before she realized she had forgotten all this.”
Pretty much, though I think you left out a few of the gyrations.
My understanding of this was she no .gov set up for secure information i.e.: SIPRNET. Anyone know anything about this?
It’s like check kiting.
Eventually, it gets ridiculous.
We’ve reached eventually already.
Hillary's statement that she used secure systems to communicate classified information is certainly true. She could not have avoided doing so if she tried. The systems are set up to facilitate the use of Stu-III or Stu-IV or whatever Stu-This or Stu-That in current use for the communication of classified data.
But that is not the issue. The issue is did she send classified data on non-secure systems including via her own server. We all know the answer to that: She sent and received Top Secret/SCI data via her personal server. That is a jail time punishable offense.
So how could she and Huma and the rest have done this? Here's a couple of ways they could have done it and almost certainly did do it:
1. Take hard copies of Classified documents out of the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SKIF), set down to a computer and type in whatever information you want and send it off by email via hrc@hillary.com or hrc@google.com. Easy as pie.
2. Some SCIFs have two systems. One is connected to the outside world allowing you to post to Free Republic if you like. The second is totally isolated physically from the non-secure system. You cannot access classified data on the FR system. And you cannot access FR on classified system. But you can sit down on the classified system, bring up some TS data about operations in Libya and type that info right in to your FR Post on the unclassified system. I'm sure that's what Hillary and her team did routinely.
3. You can copy TS material on to a removable media, walk it out the SKIF and send the real thing via an unclassified system. I don't think Hillary et al are that dumb because, as she stated, none of the documents have classification markings at top and bottom and apparently there are not many with paragraph markings. So most likely they simply edited the classified documents to remove the Header and Footer and deleted the paragraph marking before they sent the info out via hrc@hillary.com
I’m not sure about the sentence. I think you left a word out.
She said some words so we know she lied again.
Today, she will say some more words, so we know that she will lie again today.
It’s like Spock said: If you drop a hammer on a planet with positive gravity, you do not need to see the hammer fall to know that, in fact, it has fallen.
Just because a case wasn’t built against Hillary does NOT mean she is innocent.
Lots of people who are guilty as sin aren’t prosecuted if prosecutors think they can’t win in court.
Hillary not only broke the law, she blatantly disregarded her own State Department’s policies about secure communication.
Actually, they did set up a secure computer in her office, but her aides said she never used it, because Hillary doesn’t know how to use email on a computer.
The old clinton tactic of "Repeat a lie often enough it becomes the truth". In her case all she has to do is say it once or twice and her slobbering lemmings will do the rest.
She has a green light to lie as much as she wants. The media has made that clear. She can say she sent classified information through the UFO network run by Elvis’ Clone, and the media will back her up.
You are leaving out the Blackberries. This is why Hillary kept saying she ‘lost’ them. She would give one to Sidney, one to Huma, etc. They could then access her emails and strip off any classification headers, then retype it into a DRAFT EMAIL or just send it to Hillary’s private server account.
I hope he does. She needs to be buried.
Or in short, Hillary is turning into a parody of her real self.
She opened up a new can of worms.
We need to ask her what the e-mail address was on this second system.
illary is just as big a liar as her husband, she is just not as good at it.
I have been working with classified data for 35 years now. I am not saying it doesn't exist, but I have never used a "little tent" for classified data. Classified data is almost always handled in a SCIF if its SCI, and held in safes when its not SCI.
I'm am happy to be educated by anyone out there who is aware of the "little tents" classified data protection system.
I have to admit to having very limited knowledge about the use of Blackberries. Why don't you post a bit of tutorial on their use and tell us how they actually work. I am here assuming that there are special issue Blackberries that are secure in some sense.
If so, what kind of data can they access. What sort of encryption is used to protect the easily intercepted transmission? This looks like a bucket of worms to me in terms of security.
