I would be careful to connect party affiliation to this. As a Conservative I think it is terribly wrong, but lets remember that not all Conservatives live by every Conservative principle.
People across the board can be weak, and terribly evil.
Party affiliation and partisan politics does nothing for me. The GOP has been and is probably a bigger problem than the Dems in many ways IMO.
I think you’ve seen my diatribe on the whole concept and term “conservative” which I think is a bit convoluted and subjective depending on who you talk to. I never know what a “conservative” is other than they don’t like the Left (sometimes). It’s like I know more about what a “conservative” is against than what they’re for.
We need a lexicon that embraces those that are FOR individual freedom, the Constitution, and limited government. Whatever that is, that’s me and what I think is traditionally what America has been and the Founders were all about.
Connecting this creep to a political party wasn't done because we as conservatives are infallible or above the fray. I suspect that those who claimed he was a Democrat was an illustration in how stories like these are reported in the media.
If this guy were a Republican, the title, along with numerous references within the article would say as much. Since the guy is apparently a Democrat, his party affiliation is buried. Standard, mainstream media modus operandi.
