People in this world are suffering, and Miley Cyrus is taking that very seriously — by ditching her publicist and skipping future red carpets.
"[A year ago] I had to do the [‘A Very Murray Christmas’] premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again,” she tells Elle in its October issue. “Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that's red? Because I'm 'important'? Because I'm 'famous'? That's not how I roll. It's like a skit — it's like ‘Zoolander.’"
See, Miley’s not “doing it” anymore, she says, and by “doing it” she means putting on an act, being disingenuous, having people suck up to her in public because she’s a star. Shh! Nobody tell her that red carpets pretty much exist because of famous people — and because people who make movies and TV shows want to promote them.

After all the bizarre stunts Miley Cyrus has pulled to stay on the red carpet, now she wants off of it? More power to her, withdraw from the public eye please. Maybe get some counseling.

It is a healthier response than flying over to speak to the government about spending more money. I’m willing to think the best of her motivation. Beats the heck out of global warming chest-thumping, too.

So, Miley, you want to put out of business the people who make those red carpets, as well as the people who have to store and clean them and have them ready for people like you to walk across for one of Hollywood’s gala events? And, furthermore, you have fired your publicist so he no longer has a job?
You see, Miley, rich people like you pay to be pampered. And there are plenty of poor people who are happy to take your money to pamper you. Rather than putting all of those people out of business and adding to poverty while contradictorily claiming that you won’t hire any of these people because there are poor people, why don’t you hire even more staff to pamper you and announce how you are taking a personal stand against poverty by doing so?

I dont remember Angelina Jolie (who is 3000 times more attractive and made the needed to be told story “Unbroken”) talking so stupidly. She just did. Acts matter more than silly words.
And I think she loves the brood she adopted and it wasn’t a publicity stunt like most.
