Just another charismatic (a)theistic flash in the pan of Algore’s intrawebs.

Perhaps he can slip that crescent icon sideways where the Sun don’t shine?

I see so because you reject his non belief in a creator then everything he says must be rejected as well. No person has the answers to everything, however, that is why we were given a mind. Just because they are wrong on one subject does not mean they do not offer good insight into other subjects.

I personally believe in a creator, because it is the only thing that offers an explanation of how something came into existence to begin with. Evolution may indeed occur in small measures but it is incapable of creating something from nothing. Only creation holds that power, and even creation must work upon building blocks. So the creator is responsible for evolution as well.

As we look around today I see so many religions morphing into something that seems quite foreign to me. So does religion hold all of the answers? I am becoming less convinced that they do. Truth does not change over time. So surely that must mean that religion does not contain all truths, otherwise, it would stay constant. It would not change just to attract more followers to its beliefs. Do not get me wrong I have no problem with religion because I think Christianity offers a lot of good to mankind, and it is the one I most identify with. Like this country it may contain some problems, but it along with the Jewish faith offer the best hopes for mankind to police himself. When mankind polices itself then mankind lives a better more prosperous life and is afforded more freedoms. Without it life starts to become more chaotic to say the least.

The link you provided was a side of Stefan Molyneux that I had never been introduced to, I'll admit. I have only seen him talking about politics. However, he did present many valid points if you step back and look at it objectively. Did I agree with him 100%, absolutely not, but I didn't reject him totally either. I did a search for him on religion and listened to Religion and Proof, and here was my response to him.

Can't your argument against there being a creator , be the exact same argument against evolution as well? What created the environment for evolution to occur in the first place? Are you not also creating a circle from a square? Have you not created something without a beginning? Could creation and evolution be all part of the same and the fact be that evolution did not occur without a creation to begin with? So is that creation not the work of a God, even as much as you want to discount that possibility, you offer up no evidence that explains how something came into being from nothing. You are a very smart person, but please do not pretend that you have all of the answers, because you then become much less credible.

So to reject someone just because they are wrong about some things only limits yourself. Even a fool sometimes says something brilliant that people should pay attention too. No one has all the answers, and even though a person may be wrong about somethings does not mean we should totally reject them either. I still contend if you set aside your prejudices and listen to his talk about politics, you too will see him in a different light, as you have shown me a different light about him that I personally reject as well.

If not I'll understand, but I think you are missing some good analysis and arguments that you most likely would enjoy and even agree with. There are lots of people on this board that I agree with and disagree with all of the time, and that is because we are each unique individuals that bring different perspectives and even biases in with them. Just because I may disagree with them on some topics of discussion does not mean I ignore them forever more. Because often times I find I have more in agreement with them that disagreement with them, and if I rejected them totally I would never appreciate the commonalities we do share.
