Yes, the person who deserves hateful comments is Sandusky, who likely was not a lone pedophile.

Rumors exist that his fellow traveler shitbags exist in powerful circles - business and government, and have the power, ability and means to cover up their disgusting behavior.

Not to make excuses, but you wonder if Paterno knew this and steered clear. That doesn't excuse his inaction, but might explain it.

Football is God. They will sacrifice their children before they condemn anything football.

Appropriate that you should express it that way, because by not condemning such expressions of anti-American behavior, all of our children will sooner or later be put at grave risk. Only a matter of time. Tick, Tick, Tick!

I do remember that newspaper quite well because I lived in VA near DC in the 1950s, but no. From my profile:
It goes back to the days when I spent a lot of time on IRC. My handle was AgentOrange (get it? - from Orange County).

The vast majority of veterans I ran into were OK with it. But a few weren't.

Because I respect veterans, I decided to come up with a "kinder, gentler" alternative whenever that situation came up.

On my desk, I spotted an opera CD that I'd recently purchased and listened to. It was called Luceafărul (The Evening Star) and it was by the Romanian composer Nicolae Bretan.

And there you have it. :)

Here is the prelude to that opera.
