Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump tangled over how to best protect the country from terrorist threats, after a series of weekend bombings and bomb scares in New York and New Jersey returned security issues to the forefront of the presidential campaign.
Speaking to reporters before boarding her campaign plane... Mrs. Clinton called for calm vigilance and accused Mr. Trump of sowing division and playing into the hands of terrorists.
Mr. Trump renewed his warning about the dangers of unchecked immigration and called for allowing police more latitude in profiling suspects, including by race. He also criticized Mrs. Clinton’s call to increase admissions of refugees from the Middle East.
“I am prepared to, ready to actually take on those challenges,” Mrs. Clinton said, “not engage in a lot of irresponsible, reckless rhetoric.”
“You don’t hear a plan from him. He keeps saying he has a secret plan,” she said, referring to Mr. Trump. “The secret is he has no plan.”
Speaking on Fox News on Monday, Mr. Trump said: "We’re allowing these people to come into our country and destroy our country and make it unsafe for people…Hillary Clinton wants to allow hundreds of thousands of these same people,” Mr. Trump said...
“Let us be vigilant but not afraid,” Mrs. Clinton said. “We have faced threats before. If you see something or you hear something, report it immediately to local law-enforcement authorities. I know we will meet this new danger with the same courage and vigilance.”
Mrs. Clinton said Mr. Trump’s previous remarks on terrorism and Muslim immigration have sowed division and promoted the narrative that the West was at war with Islam.
“There are millions of millions of naturalized citizens in America from all over the world. There are millions of law-abiding, peaceful Muslim Americans,” she said.

Trump wants to try to do something to stop the attacks. Hillary wants “vigilance”, or “Wait and see if it happens yet again”....

‘Vigilance’ in this context is double-speak for doing nothing substantive to protect American lives. Stop BS’g us, we know the bad guys are here and they want blood.

Donald Trump has a GOOD plan—stop muslim immigration, and profile all suspected radical muslims and mosques. And DO SOMETHING about attempted terrorism. But that’s considered REAL “islamophobia”!!!!

Vigilance.... Have you ever noticed that after one of these guys commits an act of terrorism, everyone around him says they can’t believe it, he showed no signs of radicalization, etc.? If you can’t tell a good Muslim from a bad Muslin, then any strategy that depends on your ability to do so is doomed to failure.

Let us be vigilant and also be allowed to conceal carry everywhere in all 50(7) states. Obviously her idea of vigilance is being aware you are going to be attacked but not be able to stop it. Bitch.
