The U.S. Navy was undergoing pyrotechnic maneuvers on off the coast of New Jersey that evening. This was reported in the immediate hours after the explosion, and then removed and never mentioned again.

Coincidence?

Yes, the Navy story was told right after the event by those involved. Back then, I was so used to the Clintonian tactic of making bad news disappear that I assumed the coverup was just to avoid involving his Presidency (and Hellary’s future goals) from being tarnished. Whatever happened to Louie Freeh? Wasn’t he complicit in their many cover ups?

Pyrotechnics in the military are flares and smoke indicators. Any aircraft using those were well south of the airline traffic and considerably lower than they were.

Depends. Where do you think they were removed from?
