Colin Kaepernicks decision to not stand for the national anthem has inspired two Oakland City Council members to remain seated for the pledge of allegiance.
Desley Brooks and Rebecca Kaplan are the latest Oaklanders to follow Kaepernick in protesting oppression of minorities.
